How to promote a Blog Post ( Increase Traffic, Get Noticed, Fast) Effectively for Free

After writing a blog post and publishing it we need to promote it. Promotion means submitting it in various places so that people can see our blog post and come back to our website to read it.

People visiting our website is called traffic to the website and without traffic, our Blog is of no use. If no one visits our blog the purpose of writing a blog is simply not achieved.

How can I increase my Blog Traffic? Share the Blog posts across various social media channels, create desire and generate Trust. Write Content which if packed with Information, adequately researched, provides value and having substantial length.

Nowadays I do not focus on Promotion… actually its almost cut down to zero. I am using this Blogging System which has 10x my traffic.

Where to Promote Blog Posts after Publishing?

I would recommend creating a hashtag for your posts. Ha hashtag is a word preceded by a # which is searchable across various social media platforms. Example #blog all blog related content will be shown when you search on a social media platform which supports hashtags.

I created a hashtag #startabloginindia and I use this on social media.

A hashtag is like your blog name it represents your posts. You could use your blog name as a hashtag as well.

This is your unique tag. Apart from this, you should use popular tags in your niche to tag your posts. Why? This is because when people are searching for popular hashtags like say #bloggingtips and you have tagged your post with this hashtag, your post can be seen.

How to add a hashtag ?

To add a hashtag create a post on social media. Write your content, add a link to your blog post. Add the words #hashtag . Add upto 5 hashtags in your niche.

Now this same thing can be done across different social media networks.

Instagram

This network used to allow upto 30 hashtags. Now it is better to add 1 to 3 hashtags only. Instagram is a visual network so you need images to participate in Instagram. Also you must create an account on your mobile phone. You cannot do it easily on a desktop.

Download and install the Instagram application. Post images and content and use hashtags

Facebook

Facebook you can create a facebook page for your blog. Add content to the Facebook page and set it up properly.

You need a header image, filled in About section, link to your website.

You cannot add phone numbers and websites to facebook page headers.

Read the terms and conditions when working with Facebook.

There are Facebook Groups such as https://www.facebook.com/groups/mombloggersindia/

Join such communities and read their terms and conditions. Each group will have promo days when you can share your blog posts.

YouTube

This is a powerful way to promote your blog. Create useful videos and link out to the blog posts in your first comment. You can also link out in the description of your video but there is a theory that this can get you lower reach.

Pinterest

Pinterest is a search engine in itself. It is not a social media platform as many think. It can get you a LOT of traffic if you use it wisely.
