Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Cyclopentasiloxane

This is a siloxane ( silicon + oxygen + alkane). It gives a silky feeling to touch. It forms a barrier on the skin. It is not absorbed by the skin and hence evens out the skin. It prevents water loss by forming a hydrating barrier on the skin. Like most silicones, this ingredient has a unique fluidity that makes it easily spreadable. The initially viscous texture evaporates quickly. It does not penetrate the pore lining where acne are formed.

Dimethicone might be trapping in moisture, bacteria, sebum, skin oils and impurities. So people prone to acne and those having oliy skin can see increase in blackheads.

Propyl Paraben

Parabens mimic estrogen and are said to cause cancer. Usually cosmetics have this in lower amounts and  in lower levels this cannot cause cancer.

Tocopheryl Acetate

Tocopheryl acetate is a type of Vitamin E. It is a nutrient, antioxidant, skin conditioning agent. It can reduce free radicals, helps maintains freshness of cosmetics .

Isododecane

This is insoluble in water, makes cosmetics spreadable, feels weightless on skin. Prevents water evaporating from skin, gives a silky, smooth texture to skin.

Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate

Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate is an emollient used in skin care products for its properties as a skin conditioning and viscosity increasing agent.

Ingredients are something to be wary off. Use them in small quantities ad make sure you get them off after use.

Try using it with oil based foundation. Will work better. I am using with a water based foundation and it works well.
